I am not a HR generalist. HR is a very broad term and covers a multitude of different functions.
The role of Human Resources is evolving to fit the needs of today's modern organisations. In the past, the HR role was perceived as an administrative function, part of paying employees, processing benefits, and keeping track of annual and sick leave.
With the advancement of technology, so many of these administrative tasks can be managed within streamlined and affordable software, freeing up more time to be spent on the most important part – the human aspect of HR.
For the areas not within my speciality, such as policy development, industrial award interpretation, terminations, grievance management and employment contracts, I partner with HR and IR experts to identify or close gaps in compliance and fulfil these essential functions.
